looks like Snow in Moorea |
“There was another island! Bali Ha’i was an island of the sea, a jewel of the vast ocean. It was small. Like a jewel, it could be perceived in one loving glance. It was neat. It had majestic cliffs facing the open sea. It had a jagged hill to give it character. It was green like something ever youthful, and it seemed to curve itself like a woman into the rough shadows formed by the greater island of Vanicoro. From two miles distance no seafarer could have guessed that Bali Ha’i existed. Like most lovely things, one had to seek it out and even to know what one was seeking before it could be found.” Tales of the South Pacific" by James A. Michener |

Guava Patrol, and Passion Fruit and Durian and Coco for coconuts-We found it all today on an island hike |
It's a gift, that's why they call it the present-and instant gratification takes too long
Last time I was in Moorea, I thought of
the Paul Gauguin assertion: Life being what it is, one dreams of revenge. Living in America, after all is like being kidnapped and being held for ransom by the shared halluctination known as Consumerism and sold into slavery, indentured to credit card debt. One Market Under god and all that Nike Just Buy It branding-I shop therefore I am-- Here on Moorea, I bought nothing today! Living well is STILL the best revenge. The Garden of Eden where fruit falls fromt the ground-awesome.
